
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII, in partnership with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) – Koronadal Extension Office, successfully conducted a webinar on August 6, 2025, focusing on the registration process and reportorial requirements for civil society organizations (CSOs).
The activity was led by SEC Koronadal Extension Office Director, Atty. Nechelle Gedorio-Mesias, who provided technical guidance on regulatory compliance for CSOs. The webinar aimed to equip local CSO Desk Officers and stakeholders with essential knowledge on legal registration and the submission of mandatory reports to the SEC.
In her closing message, DILG XII Regional Director, Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, emphasized the importance of empowering legally compliant CSOs as key partners in promoting transparency, accountability, and participatory governance. She reiterated the Department’s full support for initiatives that strengthen civic engagement and uphold the principles of good local governance.
This initiative forms part of DILG XII’s ongoing commitment to the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) approach, which promotes multi-stakeholder collaboration in building responsive and resilient communities across Region XII.
