DILG’s RIDS for CSOs Training Sets New Ground for Inclusive Local Leadership

In a bold move to strengthen citizen-led governance, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region XII held a groundbreaking training for Civil Society Organization (CSO) Desk Officers, aimed at equipping them with tools to uphold participatory leadership and community-driven development.
Last July 16, 2025, the Department of the Interior and Local Government – National Capital Region (DILG-NCR) conducted a Learning Visit to DILG Rehiyon Dose, fostering a meaningful exchange of best practices and innovations in internal operations, knowledge management, local governance, and Gender and Development (GAD) initiatives.
Koronadal City, South Cotabato – July 3, 2025 — In a continued effort to advance the government’s campaign against illegal drugs through advocacy and inter-agency collaboration, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII spearheaded the Regional Inter-Agency Committee Against Drugs (RICAD) - Advocacy Cluster in support of the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS).
Held at the Wagi Hall of the DILG XII Regional Office, the meeting brought together member-agencies to report on their accomplishments for the first half of 2025 and to reaffirm their commitment to a unified, whole-of-nation approach to drug prevention and control.
Koronadal City, South Cotabato — In a significant step towards fostering participatory governance and local democratic innovation, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region XII formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mahintana Foundation Inc. (MFI) on July 14, 2025 at the DILG XII Regional Office, Prime Regional Government Center, Brgy. Carpenter Hill.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office XII, headed by Atty. Rochelle D. Mahinay-Sero, CESE, represented by DILG Provincial Director of South Cotabato Hayd Ali S. Suwaib, proudly took part in the Civic-Military Parade and Opening Program of the 26th T’nalak Festival and the 59th Founding Anniversary of the Province of South Cotabato held on July 11, 2025.
